    What do you pray for?

    praying

Do you find yourself praying almost the same prayers over and over again?

Here are some of the things I find myself praying for almost everyday:

I pray for wisdom, vision, courage, faith, and passion.

I pray for my wife and children. (Habit: I lay hands on them while they are asleep).

I pray for our church family that each person will grow in God, find joy in serving Him, purpose in life and success in what they do and recently – Protection.

I pray for our City and particulalrly Manurewa. I pray for transformation and Salvation.

I pray for the Body of Christ and other pastors ( Habit: I pray God blessing on every church I go pass, especially in Manurewa)

I pray a lot of ‘blessing’ type prayers. (I guess it’s what most pastors are asked to do)

2 Timothy 1:3  -  I pray for you every day, and many times during the long nights I beg my God to bless you richly.

    Expecting from God

James 1:5-7 “If you need wisdom–if you want to know what God wants you to do–ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.”
Are you expecting something from God? No matter how big your expectation is, God is not afraid of it. He has more than enough; He is the God that supplies all your needs according to His riches…… Phil 4:19
Lay out your request, wait in expectation. Don’t ignore them after you have prayed them. EXPECT THEM.
Don’t be double minded about what you’re asking for. Remember,  “A double minded man….should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. (1:7)
