Faith, Hope and Love
Spoke about Faith, Hope and Love last night. (after thoughts) 1 Corinthians 13:13
Without a hope for the future there can be no power for the present. Hope gives motivation to do what we are called to do today because we have assurance of tomorrow. Our hope is heaven and everlasting life and fellowship with God. Our hope is secured and assured because of the work of Christ. Find Hope in God today. Rom 15:13
Faith fuels Hope. When we feel hopeless we need to inject faith in our hearts. Faith comes by hearing the Word, (Rom 10:17)from times of worship, and also by being surrounded with the right people who carry faith in their spirit and speech.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Heb 11:1)The Scriptures say that we need to walk by faith and not by sight.(2 Cor 5:7)
Love is the outward manifestation of the Hope in us. Love is an overflowing of Hope which results in action. (Rom 15:13)
Hope fuels love. Love is a verb. Love is a doing word. (words of a song). What good is faith when we don’t have action to show. Love in action is evidence of our hope and faith.

Starting Sunday 2nd August 2009, LifeChurch will honestly look at the naked truth of God’s Word when it comes to the ‘S’ word. Come with and open mind and a heart that is yearning for the truth. Its not all SEX we will be talking about GOD and his LOVE for us.

Two weeks ago I started asking people why they keep coming to LifeChurch. I gave them a fill in the blank question. I Love my church because___________________
Here’s what I’ve received so far:

| Leaders are driven and motivated to serve God in ways that are always creative and unique. |

| Life – God gives us life and this is life – |

| Lifegroup facilitates growth |
| Love my Pastor – the way he preaches the word of God and the Vision God has put in his heart. |
| Love the people, adults, Lifekids and the children, pastors, youth, leaders |

| Love to serve the Lord by serving the community |

| People – they matter to God, they are a problem and without God in life, people go to hell. |

| Put up with all sorts of people |
| Reach out and love to go the extra mile |
| Remember my name and helps me heaps spiritually (101) |

| The church that it’s people are connected to fulfill and serve God’s purpose, and are dream builders. |
| The constant and regular discussion of the word means that we who desire to live authentic lives are empowered and equipped to live ‘dangerously’ for God. |
| The heart of the church is His word |
| The opportunity to serve His children, |
| The people are friendly and real |
| The youth are on fire and the children are just as passionate. |
| There is unity in our church |
| They have morning tea every Sunday morning |
